WWE Hall-of-Famer and pro wrestling icon Sting appears as the newest member of the Dallas Cowboys coaching staff in a hilarious sketch.

When it comes to legends of the squared circle, Sting is always going to be brought up. From his terrific work in WCW for many years to his actually making TNA relevant for a time to his final—albeit brief—run in WWE, he’s a professional wrestling icon. Now retired after suffering a neck injury in WWE, though, Sting makes his residence in Dallas, TX.

As is the case with many people in the area, Sting is also a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. After all, it is America’s Team that we’re talking about here, so why wouldn’t The Icon be a fan of them? In a comedy sketch posted by the team on Tuesday, though, Sting actually became part of the Cowboys coaching staff.

In the sketch, Sting (face-paint, bat, and all) is hired as the new “intimidation coach” in Dallas. With the Cowboys gearing up for the playoffs, he comes in to help the players get ready for the postseason and ready to strike fear in opponents. As you’d expect, this all ultimately ends with the Cowboys players painting their faces—at least most of them, save for Jason Witten.

Take a look at the sketch below and prepare to laugh:

The veteran tight end, Witten, at the end of the sketch is absolutely fantastic. When you’re one of the greatest players at your position in NFL history, you don’t need the face-paint to strike fear in opponents.

Sadly, Sting is merely just on a WWE Legends contract and not actually on the staff of the NFC East-leading Cowboys. However, he showed in this sketch that he has what it takes if Dallas were to actually need an intimidation coach. And if not, at least he gave us some good laughs.
