What channel is FXX?
By Nick Tylwalk
Don’t wait until the premiere of your favorite returning FXX show to end up flipping around looking for it or trying to get your remote to understand your voice commands.
Though it hasn’t quite stuck completely to Fox’s original plan of being the comedy sister to FX, FXX has made quite the name for itself since it replaced Fox Soccer (sorry soccer fans) in the fall of 2013. The network currently boasts an impressive lineup of original shows to complement syndicated series like Mad About You, Archer, and most famously, The Simpsons.
Two of its most notable original series are returning soon. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is back for its 12th season and has already been renewed for two more. Its unique blend of politically incorrect humor has found a sizable following, and it could end up as the longest running live action comedy ever.
While It’s Always Sunny migrated from FX, Man Seeking Woman is an FXX creation. Created by Simon Rich and boasting a roster of executive producers that includes Lorne Michaels of SNL fame, it’s headed into season 3 this winter.
Happily, FXX is carried by almost every major cable provider and the two satellite carriers, Dish Network and DirecTV. You’ll have to check in with a source like TV Guide to be absolutely sure, but here are channel numbers for some notable TV services:
- Comcast XFINITY – 167 or 727
- Verizon FiOS – 191 (standard def) and 691 (HD)
- AT&T U-verse – 128 (standard def) and 1128 (HD)
- Dish Network – 125
- DirecTV – 259
FXX also has a special page at getfxx.com where you can enter your zip code and TV provider to double check the channel number.
Also, be sure to check Sling TV or PlayStation Vue if you use those services, because FXX is available through both of them as well.
