Auburn fans roll Toomer’s Corner after Alabama loses in National Championship
After the Alabama Crimson Tide lost to the Clemson Tigers in the National Championship game, Auburn fans began rolling Toomer’s corner.
The Auburn Tigers have one of the best traditions in all of college football with Toomer’s Corner. Despite the sad state of the trees after the poisoning incident and one catching on fire, it hasn’t stopped fans from rolling the corner in celebration.
While they weren’t competing in the National Championship Game on Monday night, there was plenty of motivation for Auburn fans. Any time the Alabama Crimson Tide play a game, Auburn fans are always hoping for a loss. With an absolute classic of a game being played the Tigers and their fans were bailed out by another team appropriately named.
With reason to celebrate fans rushed to and rolled Toomer’s Corner yet again. It’s always a special occasion to see it rolled in celebration and certainly seeing Alabama lose is something that Auburn fans take pride in.
The ending of the game between Clemson and Alabama was an absolute classic. After Clemson took the lead late, Alabama managed to take the lead left thanks to an amazing rush from Jalen Hurts.
That’s when Deshaun Watson was able to drive down the field and find Hunter Renfrow for the winning score in the end zone. Players began celebrating on the clock and Dabo Swinney got to finally hoist a National Championship trophy as a head coach. It was a victory in the rematch for the Tigers and one for the fans of Auburn.
