Miami Hurricanes

Last week: 9-4 Record

If there is one school and one program that can withstand defections to the NFL and remain a contender in the ACC it is Miami. They might be ranked higher on this list had QB Brad Kaaya returned for his senior season. Now, the rebuild for Miami continues. One constant for the Hurricanes has been their defense and they return one of the best defensive units in college football with Shaq Quarterman and Joseph Jackson. Quarterman ended the season with an amazing 84 tackles as a freshman, 10 of which were for a loss.

The biggest issue for Richt and his staff is finding Brad Kaaya’s replacement, Richt has come out and said that it will be a wide-open race for finding his next starting quarterback. Michael Welch and Vinny Testaverde Jr. will be among the candidates and as like any Miami team, the offense will be stacked. The Hurricanes return leading rusher Mark Walton and leading receiver Ahmmon Richards. It may be another season before we start putting Miami back in the national title discussion but you can for sure include them in the ACC Title conversation.
