Former LSU running back and top NFL draft prospect Leonard Fournette signed a lucrative endorsement deal with Under Armour.

One of the most exciting, yet stressful, times in a young athlete’s life has to be the span between the final college game and the draft. Leonard Fournette is taking advantage of this time to prepare for the draft and sign some lucrative rookie endorsement deals.

In fact, the former Heisman candidate inked what ESPN‘s Darren Rovell is being told is “one of the most valuable endorsement contracts ever for an NFL rookie.”

There have been no details leaked about the deal just yet, but Fournette took to Twitter to celebrate the teaming up between him and the shoe and sports apparel company.

Surprisingly, Under Armour has yet to sign a running back to represent them and this decision to unite with the former LSU back just goes to show how highly he is thought of. Fournette is considered one of the top draft prospects in the 2017 class and he is projected to go in the top 10 by many experts as the top running back chosen.

Fournette had a solid career with the Tigers and has been considered one of the top-two or three running backs in college football for the past couple of years, but the 2016 season was injury-riddled.

In fact, he played just seven games this season, rushing for 843 yards and eight touchdowns and he even made the controversial decision to sit out the team’s bowl game against Louisville. He averaged 6.5 yards per carry in each of the past two seasons, showing his elusiveness.

Will Fournette have the same type of success as a kid like Ezekiel Elliott did as a rookie? Time will tell, but he’s already making his impact felt in the endorsements category. Good for him.
