High Value PG

Austin Rivers-Los Angeles Clippers (5,900): Rivers has lots of potential as he helps his dad’s team cover for the loss of Chris Paul. He gets a good matchup against the Nuggets tonight in Denver. In the two teams’ last meeting on 12/26, Rivers played 42 minutes and had 19-3-5 for over 25 fantasy points. In each of his last three games, he has scored at least 15 points posted over 25 fantasy points. Since the Nuggets allow the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing PG, Rivers should be a low-risk play loaded with upside at under 6K..

Malcolm Brogdon-Milwaukee Bucks (5,400): Brogdon has been a fixture in my DraftKings daily picks since I identified him as a breakout candidate before the season. He has continued to produce good lines since joining the starting lineup including last night’s 16-2-5 for 29.5 fantasy points against the Magic. Last time he faced Miami, he had 13-6-5 with two steals for 32 fantasy points. When the Bucks have both Parker and Antetokounmpo to carry the offense, Brogdon doesn’t have a super-high ceiling, but he does contribute across the board in multiple categories making him a solid play tonight.

Ty Lawson-Sacramento Kings (4,000): At just 4K, Lawson is a great value play tonight as the Kings take on the Bulls in one of the later games. Even though Lawson missed a game earlier this week, he was back in action last night with 13-4-5 off the bench for the Kings for 27 fantasy points. Lawson has been able to reach at least 20 fantasy points in five of his last six injury-free games although his ankle and facial injuries have cut a few games short.
