Nick Young, the artist known as Swaggy P, celebrated hitting a 3-pointer the only the way he can.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics were in action Friday night. The winner of the game would have the most wins in NBA history, but Lakers guard Nick Young found a way to steal some headlines with his ridiculous celebration.

Just over five minutes into the first quarter, Young caught, shot and made a 3-pointer on the wing. Young hit nothing but net. But that did not stop him from starting his celebration before the ball went in. There is a reason he calls himself Swaggy P.

Immediately after releasing the shot, Young began back-pedalling. The cameras cut to Young who proceeded down the court making ridiculous motions with his arms and legs.

It hard to tell what exactly Young was trying to do, but it kind of looked like a combination of two celebrations: the big balls celebration, and Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King’s riding the Bronco, all while sticking his tongue out and dancing. It’s just what Nick Young does.

The Lakers’ bench got in on the celebration. Before the shot was made, the bench stood up. Larry Nance Jr. brought both hands up, making the number three with his fingers. When the shot went it, he lowered his arms to his side. The camera cut from Young back to the bench, showing Nance waving his arms back and forth.

The 31-year-old Young is in his 10th NBA season, and fourth with the Lakers. Young has started 45 times this year for the Lakers, averaging 26.6 minutes and 13.7 points per game.

On Thursday night, Young was one of the eight players named as participants in the NBA All-Star Weekend’s 3-Point Shootout. Young is shooting 41.6 percent from behind the 3-point line this season.
