New England Patriots running back James White got the ball over the goal line to win the Super Bowl in overtime.

The greatest Super Bowl comeback of all time ended with the first overtime in the history of the big game. After the New England Patriots trailed by 25 points in the second half, Tom Brady and James White brought them back in epic fashion. In overtime, White put the game away.

After the Patriots quickly marched down the field, they got right on the goal line. On second down, White took the ball outside and managed to cut back in and get over the goal line before his knee hit the ground. The ref immediately ruled for a touchdown and the game was over.

Never before has a game gone to overtime and never has one quite ended like this. The Patriots were down a staggering 25 points and it looked like the game was on the brink of turning into a blowout before they managed to come back.

Brady didn’t lose composure and made the plays necessary to get his team back into it. White set a Super Bowl record with 14 receptions in the game and managed to get the winning touchdown, which was his third of game.

This is the type of play that you will see on the highlight reels for all future NFL highlights. It’s the first overtime game in history and it was a memorable classic that won’t be forgotten. The Patriots managed to win their fifth championship in franchise history and Brady cemented his legacy with the win.
