A tumultuous week in the NBA saw young, exciting high flyers Zach LaVine and Jabari Parker lost for the season with devastating knee injuries. It saw returns to form from aging stars as Dirk Nowitzki and Vince Carter found the fountain of youth. And it saw bizarre storylines as the spectacularly floundering New York Knicks found new and more elaborate ways to provoke their supporters into fits of sputtering rage.
Knicks team president Phil Jackson lashed out at Carmelo Anthony with a damning, cryptic tweet. Then, embattled team owner James Dolan had beloved former Knick Charles Oakley thrown to the ground by security guards and dragged away in a surreal and spectacular scene during a nationally-televised game. What in the Sam Hill is going on?
