NFL Roundup: Myles Garrett wants to go to Dallas, Jack Del Rio gets paid

The NFL offseason is already off to a quick start, from NFL draft picks campaigning for teams to head coaches getting new contracts.
The 2017 NFL draft is still a few months away, but potential No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett is already petitioning to play somewhere besides Cleveland. Last week, Garrett sent a video to Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones pleading him to trade up to No. 1 to take him.
Garrett also announced that he won’t be attending the NFL draft this year, instead staying at home to watch with his family. This isn’t the first time a player has done this, but the fact that he will likely be the first player taken makes it a little stranger.
Meanwhile, in Oakland, the Raiders signed head coach Jack Del Rio to a new four-year contract through 2020. The Raiders looked like a legitimate Super Bowl contender before Derek Carr went down with a broken fibula late in the regular season. This is a team with a lot of talent, and Del Rio has done a solid job turning the team into a legitimate contender, going 19-13 in his first team seasons.
Del Rio’s new contract is well deserved, but he’ll be put under a microscope moving forward. The Raiders have plenty of young talent with Carr, Amari Cooper and Khalil Mack, so the expectations will likely be Super Bowl or bust for the next few seasons.
In one of the more surprising headlines of the offseason so far, Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett cancelled a trip to Israel after he felt that he was being used as a political pawn. He released the following statement on Instagram.

More and more NFL players are becoming more socially active, including Bennett, who made a strong stance with his decision to not go to Israel. Except this to start becoming more common with NFL players in the near future.
