Carlos Dunlap took out his frustration over the Cincinnati Bengals’ offseason on Twitter.

The Cincinnati Bengals have had a very rough offseason. They’ve lost their two best offensive linemen. In both cases, the Bengals didn’t make much of an effort to keep them. This is a year after losing Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu to the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons respectively. Carlos Dunlap isn’t too happy with how their offseason is going, expressing his frustration on Twitter.

It’s hard to be upset with him over the tweet because for the most part, he’s right. Dunlap’s criticism is quite justified. The Bengals have lost no fewer than five quality players over the past two offseasons and the Bengals have done nothing to fix it. Despite having one of the cheapest quarterbacks in the NFL, they aren’t doing much to surround Andy Dalton with talent. Or at least the Bengals aren’t keeping the talent around. Their fans have to be deeply concerned about that.

Cincinnati is coming off a six win season. Pretty much nothing went right for them in 2016. Watching Andrew Whitworth leave for the Los Angeles Rams and, worse, Kevin Zeitler go to the Cleveland Browns has to be frustrating. Dunlap is coming off an eight sack season with 49 tackles and 15 passes defended. He finished second on the Bengals to Geno Atkins in sacks. Moreover, Dunlap led the team with three forced fumbles.

The 2017 season could be an important one for the Bengals. Head coach Marvin Lewis could be on his last legs, though he hasn’t been fired yet despite not leading the team to any playoff wins. If they fail again in 2017, expect some changes. Perhaps one of those changes will be getting a plan Dunlap can understand.
