Malcolm Butler is one of the better young cornerbacks in the NFL, but it remains to be seen where he will be playing in 2017.

The talk around the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints has been about a possible trade for cornerback Malcolm Butler. Butler, who is a restricted free agent, has yet to sign the first-round tender the team offered him, and it looked like he might have found a home in New Orleans. Currently, there is nothing happening, and the Saints are not willing to part with the No. 11 overall pick for him.

Staying with the cornerbacks, could Richard Sherman actually be headed out of Seattle? Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said he is fielding calls about a possible trade for Sherman, who is considered one of the best cornerbacks in the league. While Carroll has listened to the teams, it is not very likely that Sherman will be leaving the Legion of Boom any time soon.

Former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson still does not have a home for the 2017 season, but a new team may now be in the picture. AP has been working out with Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston, fueling speculation that the Bucs may be a destination for the former All-Pro back. The Bucs have a shaky situation at running back heading into next season, as Doug Martin has proved to be unreliable during his six seasons with the team.

On Tuesday, Teddy Bridgewater posted a video to his private Instagram account showing him moving around and throwing the ball. While there is no timetable for a return, that had to be a welcoming sight for Vikings fans everywhere. Head coach Mike Zimmer would like Bridgewater to stay with the team, even though it looks like Sam Bradford is not the team’s quarterback for the foreseeable future.

Finally, it looks like free agent T.J. McDonald will be sitting out the first eight games of the season if he can latch on with a new team. McDonald violated the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse, which is a result of a May 2016 arrest for driving under the influence of drugs. The 26-year old safety pleaded guilty in January to the charge, and it remains to be seen whether or not a team is going to take a flier on him for the upcoming season.
