The Penn State Nittany Lions will begin their quest for a second consecutive Big Ten title with their Spring Game on Saturday, and here is how you can watch the action online.

In 2016, the Penn State Nittany Lions were expected to finish behind the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines in the Big Ten East. However, the Lions shocked Ohio State inside Beaver Stadium, and then rode that momentum to a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game. In the Big Ten title game, the Lions beat Wisconsin, clinching their berth in the Rose Bowl.

While the season ended with a loss in an instant classic against USC, there is plenty to be proud about. As they head into 2017, the team is armed with the best quarterback in the conference in Trace McSorley. In addition, running back Saquon Barkley may be the best in the country at his position, so this team is definitely going to put up points.

On defense, there is going to be some changes up front, but Shane Simmons should do a nice job emerging as a leader on the defensive line. John Reid was supposed to be one of the best cornerbacks in the Big Ten next season, but he suffered a bad knee injury this preseason. Someone is going to have to step up in his place, but if Penn State can stop the run consistently, they will likely be in contention for the Big Ten title again in 2017.

Here is how to watch the first round action online.

The Big Ten is going to be one of the toughest conferences in college football once again in 2016, but there is a legitimate chance that the Penn State Nittany Lions repeat. Both McSorley and Barkley are Heisman candidates, and this team will be overflowing with confidence heading into next season. The loss of Reid is going to be tough to overcome, but there is enough talent on the depth chart to make this defense elite in 2017.
