Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams may look like Captain Hook, but he does his best impression of Peter Pan on this slick transition jam vs. Houston.

Down 2-1 in their best-of-seven series with the Houston Rockets, the Oklahoma City Thunder need to win Game 4 at Chesapeake Energy Center to keep this series competitive. Russell Westbrook might do everything for the Thunder, but he got some help from the big fella Steven Adams on this play.

Thunder power forward Taj Gibson would intercept a pass from the Rockets, quickly getting it out to Westbrook in transition. Adams joined Gibson and Westbrook on a three-on-one with Rockets star shooting guard James Harden.

Given Harden’s history of as a defensive player, the end result wasn’t pretty for him. Westbrook would bounce-pass the rock to the trailing Adams. He would take off from somewhere near Tulsa and do his best impression of Peter Pan on this wonderful slam. It was smooth like peanut butter.

Adams may look more like Captain Hook than he wants to admit. However, he kind of looked like a very hairy (and very scary) version of Pan on that transition dunk. He had his right arm cocked to the side like Hook’s iconic hook. Dustin Hoffman would be proud.

Houston is a problem for the Thunder in this best-of-seven series. The Rockets can launch rockets from long-distance, while the Thunder prefer to rumble in the paint. It’s math, as three is greater than two.

Adams and many of his Thunder buddies aren’t exactly making it rain from three. They’re not chasing waterfalls or tornadoes from afar. Oklahoma City knows how it got into the Western Conference Playoffs anyway by having Westbrook bounce the air out of the basketball, trying and succeeding in averaging a triple-double this season. That Adams dunk definitely took Harden back to Neverland.
