Vivid Seats has released its information on what fans are paying for tickets to each game of the 2017 NBA Finals, and the prices for the first two games are more expensive than tickets for Games 3 and 4 by hundreds of dollars.

Information on the cheapest and average 2017 NBA Finals ticket prices from VividSeats.com reveals that not only are fans paying more to see the games at Oracle Arena than Quicken Loans Arena, but they are paying more than they did for similar games in 2016 as well.

For Thursday night’s Game 1 on the Golden State Warriors’ home court, the cheapest tickets went for $491. The average ticket price was $1,195. The minimum price was a six percent increase from the same game of the 2016 Finals, while the average price represented a 25 percent uptick from last year.

Both the minimum and average prices took a little bit of a dip for Game 2 in the Oracle Arena, but both figures still posted growth from 2016. The cheapest tickets are going for $450, which is an increase of 123 percent from last season’s Game 2. The average price of $1,084 for Game 2 is up two percent on 2016.

The next two guaranteed games, both scheduled to be played on the Cleveland Cavaliers’ home court, represent a stark difference in pricing.

The cheapest tickets for Game 3 are currently going for $322, while a possible sweep-clinching Game 4 can be seen for as little as $175. The average for Game 3 is $910 and the average for Game 4 is $765.

While Game 3 doesn’t compare with Games 1 or 2 in pricing, it’s still performing better than 2016’s Game 3. The minimum price is a 19 percent increase, while the average is up 40 percent.

Game 4 is an outlier in that fans paid more for last year’s Game 4 than they are so far this year. The minimum price is down 45 percent and the average is down three percent.

Regardless of venue, the cost of taking in an NBA Finals game in person continues to escalate year to year. If Golden State advances to the Finals again next season, the prices of the games at the Oracle Arena might jump even more, as next season will be the Warriors’ final campaign before moving to their new home in San Francisco.
