The first half of Game 1 of the 2017 NBA Finals has already been insane, and Kyrie Irving added to the madness with a spectacular 4-point play.

Between all of the monstrous dunks and overall craziness going on in Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, it’s easy to miss the “lesser” plays. Kyrie Irving’s 4-point play should not be one of those that gets ignored.

Kevin Durant and LeBron James stole the show through the first quarter, with the two trading dunk after dunk and trying to outdo one another almost constantly. While everyone focused on that, Irving decided to take matters into his own hands.

Late in the second quarter, with his Cavaliers beginning to fall behind the rapid-paced Warriors, Irving pulled off an incredible play, as he shot a 3-pointer with some heavy contact, and drained it with almost no problem.

Irving drilled the free throw after the fact, and completed one of the nicest 4-point plays you’ll ever see, especially in the NBA Finals.

Irving seemingly waited until the last second to get the long-distance, double-clutch shot off, and it seemed to pay off in the end. Either way, it’s surely an impressive way to get noticed in a game that LeBron and Durant are dominating.

Irving finished the first half with 17 points, but was overshadowed by LeBron’s 19 points and Durant’s 23 points.
