Why isn’t the Bachelorette on TV?

BACHELORETTE 13 - "Episode 1304" -The contentious cocktail party continues, as a frustrated Eric implores the rest of bachelors to stop talking about him to Rachel. While most of the men are perfectly content to skip the drama, one calculating guy, Lee, deceptively steals Rachel away from Kenny for a second conversation. The two bachelors' confrontation sets off a heated argument, totally distracting Rachel as she attempts to better acquaint herself with the other men. So she makes a decision that surprises all of the bachelors. If you’re tuning into ABC to watch The Bachelorette Tuesday night in Chicago, you’ll find baseball. Here’s why the Bachelorette isn’t on.

If you’re expecting ABC’s The Bachelorette to be on Tuesday night in the Chicago area, you’ll be sorely disappointed. The hit television show is usually on each Monday night from 8-10 p.m. ET. Fans of the popular ABC reality show will have to wait till later Tuesday evening to find out more delightful details. The Chicago Cubs will be on ABC in that time slot instead of The Bachelorette. For those setting their DVRs, they need to change the recording time till 2 a.m CT.

The episode that is appearing Tuesday night is the sixth episode in season 13 of the television phenomenon. The synopsis for the episode is that the “remaining men head to picturesque Oslo, Norway, where they divide into teams and prepare for a powerful handball match against one another.”

Fans are a bit sensitive to ABC moving the show’s scheduled time after two weeks without any episodes coming on earlier in June. The NBA Playoffs distracted ABC from showing The Bachelorette and just as fans were getting back into a loop, the Chicago Cubs happen.

Next: Bachelor in Paradise to resume filming

Next week, The Bachelorette will resume its normal schedule. Until then, a break could be welcomed amidst a pretty tough scandal on the sister show Bachelor in Paradise . This past week an investigation found that no wrongdoing occurred after an alleged sexual misconduct incident.

If you do turn the television on expecting to see reality show drama, watch the Cubs if you’re bored. Stick around for a pitching showdown between Jake Arrieta of the Cubs and Max Scherzer of the Washington Nationals. If you have no interest in the Cubs and Nationals, then tide yourself over till 2 a.m. when The Bachelorette returns on ABC for our viewing pleasure.
