Chris Christie had the privilege of catching a foul ball at the Mets game on Tuesday night, and the crowd let him know their thoughts. Oh, and the play-by-play guy, too.

Catching a foul ball at a Major League Baseball game is the dream of many baseball fans in this country. There is no better feeling than going to a ball game and happening to receive a souvenir via the bat of a big league ball player. This was a feeling felt on Tuesday night by none other than New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Christie was attending the New York Mets game on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals, and in the top of the third inning, a foul ball was ripped right in his direction, and he was able to come away with it. Generally when a fan catches a foul ball, fellow fans in the seats will cheer for the tremendous accomplishment.

Here’s the thing, though, and it’s something that’s really no secret: Chris Christie is not the most well-liked man in the New York area, never mind around most of the country. So instead of receiving cheers from his fellow baseball fans, they let him know what they all think of him.

Aside from the booing, did anyone catch the best part of the video, which was the end? Yeah, that was indeed the announcer in the booth throwing some shade at Christie as well. He made reference to Christie recently being photographed on the beach with his family — a beach that was shutdown, creating the perfect vacation for the New Jersey governor.
