Kenny Omega really went out of his way to cheer up his buddy and EVO finalist, enlisting the services of CM Punk for the mission

During the recent EVO event, the premier fighting game tournament in the world, Punk Da God made it all the way to the finals before he was ousted in Street Fighter V. Naturally, the young man had to be devastated and in need of some cheering up. Luckily, though, he has a good buddy in the form of popular professional wrestler Kenny Omega — who has an even more popular friend who chipped in to help him out in cheering up the recent EVO finalist.

Omega was a little upset that his buddy was not taking the loss well, so what he did was he went out and enlisted the services of another Punk. Yep, you guessed it — it was none other than former WWE Superstar CM Punk, who offered up a nice message for Omega’s buddy as he tries to get up from the recent loss, dust himself off and try again some time down the road.

Now that was a pretty awesome thing for the 2016 G1 Climax winner to do, and it was very much appreciated as well by the gaming version of Punk.

Some people tend to point toward CM Punk as a nasty person, but then you look at something like this and your perspective can change in an instant. Since his departure from WWE, aside from his run at the UFC, Punk has mainly done his best to remain out of the spotlight for the most part. However, to help out his pro wrestling buddy who wanted to help out a buddy of his own, Punk was more than willing to make that happen.

Now, though, Punk Da God must enter the next tournament he’s in to the tune of “Cult of Personality.” It must be done after this.
