According to information provided by VividSeats.com, fans are paying just a little bit more for tickets to single NFL games for the 2017-18 season as compared to the 2016-17 campaign.

Buying NFL ticket packages to resell individual tickets on the secondary market continues to be a good investment, as prices have gone up again for the upcoming season.

VividSeats.com says that fans purchasing single game NFL tickets on their platform are paying six percent more across the board than fans did at this point in the summer of 2016.

As expected, the regular season opener in which the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots will host the Kansas City Chiefs currently holds the lead for the most expensive average price for single game tickets. The current average price fans are paying to see the Patriots hoist another banner is $692. That figure represents a 302 percent spike up from what fans are paying for NFL single games on average, which is $172.

In terms of which teams are selling the best on Vivid Seats, the theme of not deviating from the expected continues. Tickets for Dallas Cowboys home games are going the fastest, at an average of $208. That average price is an increase of 26 percent from 2016.

The biggest year-over-year increase in average ticket price so far is for Atlanta Falcons games in the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Tickets are going for $259 on average. The most expensive average ticket price is being paid for Patriots home games, currently going for $308.

On the flip side of all of those metrics, the slowest-selling team thus far is the Jacksonville Jaguars. The lowest average ticket price of $86 belongs to the Cincinnati Bengals, and the largest year-over-year decrease in average ticket price of 38 percent goes to the Los Angeles Rams.

Interestingly enough, the two AFC West teams that have recently or are about to relocate don’t seem to be hurting because of that factor as far as ticket sales on the secondary market go. Tickets for Oakland (for now) Raiders games have seen a 44 percent increase in average price and are going faster than those for any other AFC team. The average ticket price for Los Angeles Chargers games sits at $200, a full 100 percent increase from 2016.

As the season gets closer, these prices are likely to rise even more. While it seems that the revenue the NFL’s broadcast partners will get from advertising this season will be down, reselling NFL tickets is still a worthwhile investment.
