Oakland Raiders to Have Alternate Black Helmets? (Photo)

The Oakland Raiders are one of the most storied franchises in the NFL and have kept a traditional look throughout the years. However, running back Mike Goodson sent out an image on social media that could be showing a sign of change for the Raiders.

Goodson sent out this picture of a black helmet:

It’s unlikely that the Raiders will go to an all-black helmet and it could even be that this helmet was simply a concept, but the idea of Oakland rocking an all-black alternate uniform is something that could excite fans.

An all-black look would fit the Raiders persona perfectly, but there is one minor change I would make to the helmet.

Instead of going with the current logo that has a black background, the Raiders should roll with the throwback AFL logo that features a silver background. That logo would pop much more on the black helmet.

Again, there is nothing to suggest that the Raiders will be wearing these at anytime next season, but it would be nice to see the team liven things up with an alternate look.
