After a successful stint with the Chinese Professional Baseball League, Manny Ramirez has decided to try and make a comeback in the big leagues.

FOX Sports’ national MLB writer, Jon Morosi, went on Twitter to announce that Ramirez wants back in Major League Baseball, according to his agent.

More detailed in his article, Morosi explains that Ramirez has fufilled his contract that ended last Saturday and decided not to return so he could push for a return in the MLB.

Ramirez went to play in China after no MLB teams showed any interest in him during the offseason.

Rotoworld reports that there’s potential for Ramirez to end up in Japan, but that all depends on if there’s any team that’s willing to give the controversial hitter a chance in the second half of the MLB season.

"There’s been speculation that the 41-year-old could go to Japan, but his first choice would surely be to return to the states. Whether anyone would have interest in him remains to be seen."

While the stats are pretty good for the 41-year-old batter, there hasn’t been any buzz for Ramirez in the big leagues since 2011 when he played for the Tampa Bay Rays. He played in Spring Training for the Oakland Athletics in 2012 but never made an appearance for them in the regular season.
