NFL season preview, award predictions and more

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year
Patrick Allen: Tavon Austin — He should shine on an underrated Rams team.
Josh Sanchez: Giovani Bernard — It is easier for running backs to transition to the league than any other position, so when you add in the fact that Bernard will immediately become the Bengals electric back out of the backfield, he is perfectly set up for success. Bernard should rack up the yardage and touchdowns as the Bengals push towards an AFC North title.
Mike Dyce: Tavon Austin — I don’t know if there is an offensive rookie being given a bigger role in a team’s offense this year. The Rams need a dynamic receiver to replace the oft-injured Danny Amendola and Austin is that guy. They’ll look to use him a lot.
Bryan Rosa: Kenbrell Thompkins — I know Tavon Austin is atop most ROY predictions, but I really like what Thompkins has done in the preseason. Brady’s never been shy about spreading the love around and the Patriots need some wide receiver help. Of course, on the same token, Brady’s desire to spread the ball around could come back to hurt Thompkins but I think he’ll have a great year in New England.
