5. Kellen Winslow-TE-New York Jets (1.3%)

In a throwback performance, Kellen Winslow showed off the “spry” ability that earned him the Jets job as he worked his former Tampa Bay teammates for seven catches, 79 yards, and a touchdown in week one. He was just one target behind Stephen Hill as the most targeted Jet but led in catches and receiving yards in the Jets’ miracle win.

Winslow’s long-term viability is tied to the messy Jets QB situation, but if you’re waiting for Gronk and missed Thomas and Cameron he’s a decent short-term option while he’s healthy and clicking with rookie Geno Smith. The Jets don’t have any big-time playmakers in the passing game on the outside, so Smith will need to rely on check-downs to tight ends and backs as he did on Sunday.

He’s facing another former team as the Jets hit Gillette in week 2 and take on the Patriots who he had a cameo with last season. He’s worth a pickup if you need TE depth going forward since as long as he’s healthy he looks to be a part of the Jets offensive scheme. He’s slightly more valuable in PPR leagues due to the lack of competition for receptions in New York, but still is nothing more than a TE2.
