9. Danny Woodhead-RB-San Diego Chargers (11.5%)

As he continues to work his way into a new role with his new team, Woodhead got 17 touches for the Chargers in their upset in week 2. He finished with nine carries for 27 rushing yards and eight catches on nine targets for another 37 yards. In PPR-leagues, his role as a third-down back makes him very valuable since Rivers consistently checks down to him in this pass-heavy offense

He is nowhere close to a feature back, but Ryan Mathews has had injury problems in the past and it appears that Woodhead has moved past Ronnie Brown into the clear second-back position. If the Chargers offense continues to fire on all cylinders, I think Woodhead’s role will only increase and that he’ll get more touches going forward.

Next week, San Diego visits Nashville where the Titans rank 20th in rushing yards allowed giving up 101.5 rushing yards a game in their first two weeks despite playing well and falling just short of 2-0. San Diego’s gameplan will determine Woodhead’s value, but I see him as a solid flex play for bye-weeks in PPR leagues even though I wouldn’t start him this week.
