7. Bilal Powell-RB-New York Jets (37.8%)

Powell is far from a feature back but is earning more of the workload in the Jets backfield and also running many of the “wildcat”-like looks in the Jets makeshift offense. Powell has had more touches than Chris Ivory in each of the first two weeks and scored the Jets lone touchdown against the Patriots week 2. He finished with 70 all-purpose yards on 13 carries and two catches.

The Jets running game is expected to continue to be a timeshare as they face the Bills week 3, so neither Powell or Ivory are great plays even as a flex. However, I do think Powell is the better of the two options and could play himself into a bigger role especially if Ivory struggles to stay healthy as he has in the past.

Powell is a good pickup if you need running back depth and can fill a flex spot if you’re desperate this week. I think there will be weeks later this season where he’ll be a low-end RB2 if he earns more of the carries in the rush-heavy Jets attack.
