Fantasy Football 2013: Top 10 Week 5 Waiver Wire pickups
4. Nate Washington-WR-Tennessee Titans (16.0%)
Nate Washington and the Titans improved to 3-1 after beating the Jets on Sunday with their only loss coming on the road in Houston in overtime. Washington has been a big part of their last two wins going for over 100 yards in each game and leading the team in receiving yards in both games.
On Sunday, he caught a pair of touchdown passes-one from Jake Locker before his injury and a 77 yard touchdown to ice the game from Ryan Fitzpatrick. Locker will be sidelined for a few weeks with a hip injury meaning Fitzpatrick will get a chance to start a few games for Tennessee. Don’t worry about his rapport with Washington, though; the two veterans worked well together Sunday, and the transition under center shouldn’t affect his value very much. Washington only caught four passes which is a bit concerning, although he was targeted 8 times second only to Kendall Wright who had nine.
Washington is a definite WR3 consideration this week as the Titans host the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs.
