Fantasy Football 2013: Top 10 Week 7 Waiver Wire pickups

2. Zac Stacy-RB-St. Louis Rams (7.0%)

If your not in the top spot or two, you probably can’t land Randle. Don’t worry though, because if you can get Stacy you may actually end up with more of a long-term impact player than Randle whose value will drop when his teammates return. Short-term, Randle is the better pick up, but Stacy is a close second if he’s still available in your league.

Stacy is the clear lead in the Rams backfield and has turned in a pair of solid outings the last two weeks. He followed his 78 yards against the Jags with 79 against the Texans on Sunday and also caught a pair of passes for 11 more yards.

Unfortunately, he’s in another tough matchup this week against the Panthers who have defended the run well this season. Stacy is still a nice pickup, though, if you’re looking to build up some depth with bye-weeks coming up quickly. He can be a deep-league RB2 but is a flex play in most leagues if needed.
