If you’re even a casual NFL fan, I’m sure you’ve heard about the biggest story line of the week. Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning returns to the city that he used to call home, Indianapolis. The Colts drafted Andrew Luck after Manning missed an entire season with an injury.

The Colts subsequently released Manning, leaving him free to sign with the Denver Broncos. In his time in the Rockies Manning has done quite well too, the Broncos are currently undefeated and considered the best team in the league.

Of course returning to Indianapolis was going to be an emotional experience, but everyone expected the Colts fans to welcome him back with open arms. The Colts organization aired a pre-game tribute that was compiled of highlights from his career.

The fans applauded Peyton Manning and he acknowledged the crowd. He took off his helmet and waved to the crowd as they continued to cheer. Now if he can just contain his emotions for the game.

He may or may not have extra motivation following Jim Irsay’s comments this week.
