Idris Elba is starring in a movie about Nelson Mandela’s life titled, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. The movie is based on the 1994 book Long Walk to Freedom, former South African President Nelson Mandela’s autobiography. The movie hits select theaters on November 29th and will be in theaters everywhere on Christmas Day.

Machine Gun Kelly’s song “Runnin,” featuring Planet VI, serves as the anthem for the trailer in the background. The track is off MGK’s first major label album Lace Up, which was released in October of 2012.

It is an incredibly beautiful song and a favorite off of the Lace Up album and fits the story well.  The song is about confronting issues and problems; not giving up and running away from them. The second verse starts of with MGK rapping the lines: “I’m so tired of struggling, I’m so tired of hustling, I can feel my heart fill with hate, I’m so tired of loving, I was supposed to be great.”

And from the first verse: “So I do it for the ones that are down and out, proud one of theirs is gonna be a spokesman now … And for that I have lost my mind, kept my faith, lost my direction I’m just praying that I haven’t lost my time.”

Very fitting lyrics. The hook and chorus of the song, performed by Planet VI, fits the movie as well:

I keep my head up with my feet on the ground
From the bottom so up is the only place that I’m going
Ready to face all that’s in front of me now
Cause I’m so tired of running
I’m walking through the fire, cause there is no way around
Moving in the same direction wherever the wind is blowing
Ready to face all that’s in front of me now
Cause I’m so tired of running
