When the Chargers entered this past season I remember hearing that their receiving corps could be in trouble unless something happened to spark it. If anyone knew how it would play out many wouldn’t have believed it but now San Diego may have their franchise receiver for years to come.

Over the past few seasons they have seen their fair amount of guys come in and play but then moving on to a new destination. Antonio Gates a great player has been the face of the franchise I believe but now in the latter part of his career a new guy will need to take over.

Allen with a great first season showed he might be that guy. It will definitely be a guy to continue to watch as he continues to progress. His stats looked like this: 15 games played 71 receptions, 1,046 yards receiving and 8 touchdowns.
