New York Knicks’ Iman Shumpert, Atlanta Hawks’ Jeff Teague, Brooklyn Nets’ Deron Williams go down with injuries
On the eve of the NBA’s trade deadline, it has not been a good day to be an NBA guard.
Three key players, two of which have been heavily discussed in trade rumors recently, left their respective games with injuries Wednesday night.
Iman Shumpert injured his surgically repaired knee in the New York Knicks’ 98-91 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.
"Shumpert injured the knee, the same one which sustained a torn ACL in his rookie year, when he tried to come to a stop while driving to the basket in the third quarter. He was immediately helped to the Knicks’ locker room."
Atlanta Hawks’ point guard Jeff Teague left the Hawks’ 114-97 loss to the Washington Wizards, but is apparently “all right.”
Brooklyn Nets’point guard Deron Williams injured his face.
Williams, however, returned to the game and helped the Nets close out his former team, the Utah Jazz, for a 105-99 victory.
