Beggars can’t be choosers for pizza at Sox games

Chicago White Sox fans heading to the ballpark for a beer and a slice will not be able to be too picky when it comes to their brand of pizza, but at least it won’t be from California.
Beggars Pizza, who has been serving Chicagoland for more than 37 years, recently entered into a multi-year agreement with the White Sox as the exclusive pizza provider to the fans at U.S. Cellular Field.
“We are thrilled to partner with a family-owned and well-established Chicago brand like Beggars Pizza,” said Brooks Boyer, White Sox senior vice president of sales and marketing. “We take great pride in providing fans with the best ballpark experience possible. Adding Beggars to the best ballpark food lineup in baseball is a natural fit.”
As part of the deal, Beggars Pizza will gain brand exposure along with their product placement at concession stands throughout the stadium. The company also will be tied into a popular video board feature and included in a number of promotional dates each season.
“It was the lifelong dream of my late brother Peter that Beggars Pizza be served at U.S. Cellular Field,” said Larry Garetto of Beggars. “The Garetto family is so proud to make this dream come true and combine these two Chicago staples, Beggars and the White Sox.”
