The Detroit Pistons have been looking at ways they can turn their season around but so far little has seemed to go right. One thing in particular that has gone wrong pertains to veteran Chauncey Billups, who is back in Detroit for the Pistons but can’t play thanks to his knees having so much wear on them.

According to Vince Ellis from the Detroit Free Press, the Pistons veteran isn’t sure if his career will last much longer if his knees continue to be the problem they have been for him recently.

Per the Detroit Free Press:

"“The gas light is on. I don’t know if there’s 15 miles or 30 miles left. … It all kind of just depends how this feels, how things are with the knee,” Billups said of a return next season. “If the knee is fine, sure I would like to come back. But if it’s not, I don’t want to come back to this."

Billups has been all over the NBA and is one of the most popular players in Pistons history. He not only is a fan favorite but helped bring a title to the city in 2004, but he isn’t a young man anymore and clearly won’t last forever in the NBA.
