Los Angeles Galaxy Player Ratings

Brian Perk 5

Perk didn’t have to do too much this game. He only made one save but he did the minimum work required, and for that, he earns a 5.

Todd Dunivant 6

Two clearances, two corners conceded, 82 percent success rate on 50 touches. Not yet up to fitness, but there’s plenty of time because we’re early in the season.

Dan Gargan 7.5

Solid performance from Dan Gargan, although it’s too bad a knock forced him out as a precaution. Earned an assist and also had four recoveries, four interceptions and a 78 percent pass success rate on 50 touches. Earns a deduction for a yellow card.

Omar Gonzalez 7

Seven clearances, six recoveries, three interceptions and 65/72 passing. Just another day at the office for Gonzalez.

Leonardo 7

Holy smokes! A decent performance from Leonardo, for once. That’s what we call a breath of fresh air. Eight recoveries, three tackles on, four clearances and 49/51 passing. It’s only Chivas USA, but after playing out of his region against Tijuana, this performance was long overdue.

Oscar Sorto 5

Benefited from his time with LA Galaxy II with four recoveries, a tackle won and 11/12 passing.

Baggio Husidic 7.5

Gets a bonus for scoring in the second half. Also had five recoveries, three tackles won and went 30/33 with his passing.

Juninho 7.5

Bonus for an assist, and also had six recoveries, two clearances, and 75/79 passing. Strong performance from Juninho, best of the season so far.

Stefan Ishizaki 8

Breakthrough performance for the Swede with a goal in the first half. Ishizaki had a goal and an assist to go with two recoveries and two key passes, despite a 25 percent cross success rate and 21/31 passing.

Marcelo Sarvas 6.5

Eight recoveries, two tackls won, 49/56 passing. Not as involved as Juninho in the midfield, but still effective.

Samuel 4

Essentially brought in for fresh legs to relieve Stefan Ishizaki. Had an 80 percent pass success rate on 10 touches.

Landon Donovan 10

No record yet, but no record-setting was needed, as Donovan’s prowess as a provider was convincing enough with two assists. Also went 39/44 passing with 10 lay offs and three key passes.

Robbie Keane 9

A goal and an assist for Keane, who scored one of the unusual goals you will even see from LA’s No. 7. Also had five recoveries and 28/33 passing.

Tommy Meyer NR

Came into the game late, no rating given.
