Clippers put ‘We Are One’ under baskets in Game 5
By Josh Sanchez
The Los Angeles Clippers take the court on Tuesday night just a few hours after learning that team owner Donald Sterling has received a lifetime ban and a $2.5 million fine for his racist comments that leaked over the weekend, and they are ready to show the NBA world that they have rallied together.
After learning of the punishment, the team changed their official team website to say “We Are One,” and they have brought that same message onto the court with the padding under each basket.
CJ Fogler captured a screen shot of the “We Are One” branding and shared it on social media:
The players also wore some t-shirts that read, “One Team. One Goal. It’s Time.”
Now they will just have to hope that they can have more success on the court Tuesday than on Sunday night.
