Donald Sterling is banned for life from the NBA after racist comments were revealed over the weekend and league commissioner Adam Silver dropped the hammer on the Los Angeles Clippers ownerāfor nowāand the reaction wasnāt just limited to the NBA world as the NFL community reacted with praise for Silverās decision.
Executive Director of the NFL playerās association, DeMaurice Smith, said there was no room for racists in sport.
Credit to NBA players, the NBA community and Adam Silver for coming together and acting quickly. No room for racists in sport.

Great Job, on the decision today by Adam Silver. I felt the force in his voice when he said "Banned for Life"... More work to be done tho!

Nba Commish last name might be Silver, but he was gold today. His justice was swift and harsh. NBA you're in gr8 hands. šš.

My personal favorite is from the Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe as the justice was swift and harsh as it needed to be. The league is in great hands with Adam Silver as its commissioner and after only being on the job since the start of the year has already cemented his legacy in NBA history with this unprecedented decision.
