2014 NFL Draft: Day Two winners and losers
By Hayden Kane
Losers: Cleveland Browns
Speaking of wide receivers…turns out the Browns don’t have any. The excitement of drafting Johnny Manziel on Thursday gave way to the usual Cleveland calamities on Friday. To be fair, much of what unfolded in the last 24 hours was not the team’s fault.
First it was reported that Josh Gordon will be lost for the entire 2014 season to a drug suspension. Then Nate Burleson broke his arm.
In the meantime the Browns failed to draft a receiver with any of their three picks on Friday in what has been considered a ridiculously deep draft at that position. Such is life for the Browns, I suppose. Their superb handling of the first round of the draft takes some of the sting off the rough day Friday, but they now have serious issues to resolve on offense.
