WINNER: Michael Sam

This one was obvious, but Michael Sam is the biggest winner of the day and perhaps one of the biggest winners of the entire draft. Not only is he the first openly gay football player in the NFL but he has an opportunity to shine in a perfect environment. He’ll be earning his keep on one of the fastest growing defensive units in the NFL and if he can stick, he’ll no doubt be a star in the state he’s already called home his entire collegiate career.
