Possible Assets: Bradley Beal, Otto Porter, 2015 1st round pick+ up

Here is a name that hasn’t popped up in the Kevin Love talks, but have the perfect lead player for a hypothetical draft offer. After an extremely successful postseason, Bradley Beal’s trade value is off the charts. He’s a knockdown shooter, can create his own shot, and is an able defender. To simply put, Beal is an up-and-coming star and he’d be the perfect trade piece to nab a star such as Love.

The problem here is if the Wizards would be okay with the idea of trading their pick for Love. Refusing to deal Beal for Love, the Wizards are still a top-5 team in the Eastern Conference. Marcin Gortat is a likely return and Otto Porter’s potential is still promising. They won’t need to dish out their marquee shooting guard to remain competitive. Experience will do well enough in that category. What Love does do for the Wizards is add a top-ten player, a top-ten player, an elite rebounder and an elite floor spacer, opening things up for John Wall to create in. That’d be a hard deal to pass up on if the Wolves come knocking.

The fact still remains that Bradley Beal is the ideal player a team looking to trade a sub-superstar has their eyes on. Throw in some future draft picks and the T’Wolves would be both good enough and bad enough for a positive future.
