Possible Assets: Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic, Markieff Morris, Alex Len, 2014 NBA Draft picks (lottery, 17th, 27th), 2015 Lakers 1st-rounder

The holy grail of Kevin Love packages.

No one expected the Phoenix Suns to be good this year. Many piled them into the same category of the Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic, and Milwaukee Bucks as teams tanking in a high quality draft, but they blew expectations out of the water, just falling short of the playoffs by two wins. Some great, early season trades allowed the team to pile up draft picks and now they’re in prime position to nab a star available for trade.

And Kevin Love could be that guy.

There are several ways to go about this. The Minnesota Timberwolves could tailor a package around Eric Bledsoe. They could do the same with Goran Dragic. Within those packages would be draft picks from the season, the moving of a possible lottery pick in the Lakers 2015 NBA Draft, and a solid player such as Morris, Len, or shooting guard Alex Len. This would give the Timberwolves everything you ask for when trading away a star. If the deal revolves around Bledsoe (he seems like the most likely prospect), it’d give the Timberwolves a marquee guard, picks to add talent now and in years to come, and a player to build upon in Alex Len. Nabbing several first round picks could also give the T’Wolves the option to package another deal based around Nikola Pekovic and future first-rounders.

The Suns with Kevin Love would be a nightmare team for opponents for years to come. Without Love they threatened teams night in and night out, but with him, they move from fringe playoff team to fourth or fifth in the West.

It’s the perfect trade for both teams.
