There is a scary scene coming out of the NFL’s Spring Meetings in Atlanta. After New Orleans’ Super Bowl presentation, Saints owner Tom Benson fell. He was then rushed to a hospital in an ambulance.

NFL media insider Ian Rapoport also reported the news and cited Saints Senior VP of Communications and Broadcasting Greg Bensel as saying that Benson was fine.

There aren’t more details at this moment as to what actually happened to Benson. It could be any number of things ranging from dehydration, exhaustion to a heart attack. Again, we don’t know what happened at this moment but as we find out more information, FanSided will keep you up to date.

In the mean time, we’re just thankful that Mr. Benson is alright.

[UPDATE:] It looks like we’re getting an update and it fortunately wasn’t a more serious situation. According to Larry Holder, a Saints beat writer for NOLA.com, Benson tripped and hit his head coming off the podium. Not a fun injury, but fortunately nothing more serious or life threatening.
