The Milwaukee Bucks obviously hoped to land the number one overall pick in next month’s NBA Draft, but will have to settle for the second-overall pick.

More from Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks will still be able to land at worst their second choice of the draft’s top four prospects – former Kansas Jayhawks’ teammates, center Joel Embiid and forward Andrew Wiggins, former Duke Blue Devils’ Jabari Parker and Australian point guard Dante Exum.

Most believe the Bucks will go with one of Embiid, Wiggins or Parker, but several reports have indicated that Exum should not be ruled out. Last season, the Bucks parted ways with Brandon Jennings, sending him off to the Detroit Pistons in a sign-and-trade. They did, however, replace him with a younger player in the deal, acquiring Brandon Knight from the Pistons.

Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders speculates the Bucks may draft Exum so that they can slide Knight to the two.

"How tall you are does not define your position, its who you can guard. I think with Giannis that is still very open ended. Wiggins can play the two in the NBA and that works for the Bucks, although they’d like to slide Brandon Knight to the two next year – hence the Dante Exum rumors. I think with Parker you might be able to do the Carmelo Anthony think and play him as more of a three-four.I do not think Giannis is going to dictate what the do in the draft."

Knight averaged 17.9 points, 4.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 42.2% from the field, 32.5% from beyond the arc and 80.2% from the charity stripe.
