Starting today, and lasting until June 30, fans can expect to see thousands upon thousands of games to get the ax when it comes to prices. Most games will have sales that last throughout the duration of the event, but some titles will only see their prices cut for a short period of time, so you will want to job on them when you see them.

You will know the sale price is for a limited time thanks to an indicator being next to the game’s price in the listing.

The first day’s top deals include the follow games:

  • Far Cry 3 — $7.49 (75% off)
  • Day Z — $25.49 (15% off)
  • Hotline Miami — $1.49 (85% off)
  • The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition — $3.99 (80% off)

Mike’s Musings: Steam sales represent the most “dangerous” times of the year to be a gamer. With the prices being cut so low, you can easily find yourself dropping a couple hundred dollars on games. At least you are getting plenty of bang for your buck. I can tell you that I will likely drop at least a hundred dollars during this sale on some games that I’ve been waiting to play for some time.
