The Kevin Love trade talks are going nowhere it seems and the NBA Draft is just a few hours away from happening. Thursday is the day the draft takes place and before that there is a deadline in which teams must have trades completed otherwise draft picks cannot be exchanged.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been fielding trade calls about hte No.1 overall pick in the draft but they’ve also been outwardly trying to trade it themselves as well. Kevin Love is who the Cavs wanted for the No. 1 pick but he’s not who they’re going to get.

Unsurprisingly, Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Cavaliers hopes of landing Kevin Love have been officially ruled as dead following Love’s continued refusal to re-sign long term with the team.

In other-words: duh.

The Cavaliers never were going to be able to acquire Kevin Love which should right there tell everyone their chances of landing LeBron James. Love wants to win now, he doesn’t want to play the the Cleveland chapter of the Timberwolves club of sucking at basketball, so this news should neither surprise or devastate Cavaliers fans too much.
