6. What would you consider the “perfect draft” for your favorite team, assuming they remain in their current draft position?

Miles Wray (@mileswray): Not necessarily my favorite team, but I am most compelled by how Sam Hinkie has positioned the Philadelphia 76ers. Hinkie is currently slated to make 7 of the draft’s 60 picks, or 11.6% of all the picks: 3, 10, 32, 39, 47, 52, 54. I like Bobby Karalla’s theory that Hinkie is basically trying to find one or two Chandler Parsons-ian values in the second round — with so many picks, Hinkie is effectively increasing the odds that he will find a productive NBA player that he’ll be able to pay at bargain-basement rates. Being on the lookout for any potential trends in Hinkie’s selections — will he go with international draft-and-stash possibilities? what particular skills is he looking for? — has me interested in the second round like I’ve never remotely been before.

Brian Schroeder (@Cosmis): If the Bulls keep both their picks and take some combination of T.J. Warren, Payne, Nik Stauskas, Elfrid Payton, Jusuf Nurkic, and Gary Harris, I’d be ecstatic.

Eric Maroun (@ejmaroun): The Cavs take Andrew Wiggins to fill their aforementioned gaping hole at wing and literally anyone available in the second round who is capable of knocking down three pointers with some semblance of consistency. If someone like PJ Hairston slides, he’d be a solid selection at 33. And if Patric Young is reading this, I’m cool with the Cavs selecting him too solely because I don’t want him to think I don’t want him and beat me up.

Dane Carbaugh (@danecarbaugh): Portland doesn’t have a draft pick but they are reportedly looking to break in. Neil Olshey stole Robin Lopez in the Tyreke Evans trade last year so if he can get in I’ll be happy with whomever he takes. At this point he’s made the moves necessary.

Kevin McElroy (@knickerbacker): Rumors have floated about the Knicks trading Iman Shumpert to move into the mid-late first round. If a guy like Hood, whose offensive upside far exceeds Shumpert’s and whose defense is light years ahead of Tim Hardaway Jr’s, was available, that would represent a wise risk. Buying a late first or early second rounder and using to take a flyer on the best available point guard or big would qualify as a success as well.

Scott Rafferty (@crabdribbles): If the Orlando Magic get Joel Embiid or Jabari Parker with the 4th pick and Nik Stauskas with the 12th, I’ll be a very happy man.
