But what about the second round? Those duties will fall to newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum.
“Mark Tatum’s appointment as NBA Deputy Commissioner is recognition of the confidence our owners and teams have in his leadership ability and track record of success,” Silver said in a released statement earlier in 2014, via Pro Basketball Talk. “As Deputy Commissioner and COO, Mark will use his extensive industry relationships and knowledge of our game to help guide and grow our league.”
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban speculated about how Tatum would handle the duties in the second round of the NBA Draft and wanted to know if anyone had any drinking games.
Of course I wish I would’ve thought of this before the draft, it is always fun to make the pomp and circumstance and ridiculous pageantry of sports into a drinking game. At least the NBA draft isn’t as bad as the NFL’s.
