One of the saddest stories leading up to the NBA Draft was the diagnosis handed down to former Baylor center Isaiah Austin who had his NBA dream denied after being given a diagnosis of Marfan syndrome, that prevented the potential first rounder from being taken at Thursday’s draft.

More from NBA

Despite not being drafted on the night, NBA commissioner Adam Silver, invited the former Bears center to attend the drat where he was honored and given a hat with an NBA logo to come up to the podium and have his picture taken and have a moment that was as classy as anything I have ever seen at a draft in the NBA, NHL, MLB or NFL drafts.

Twitter was full of reactions as the emotions were out in full force after the gesture.
