With the 20th overall selection in the 2014 NBA Draft, the Toronto Raptors were expected to be a player for former North Carolina guard and Canadian native son Tyler Ennis. However, Ennis was claimed just before Toronto went on the clock, and the Raptors responded by selecting easily the most unheralded member of the first round in Brazilian forward Bruno Caboclo.
Caboclo was pegged as potentially a second round selection, but the 6-foot-9 forward has a wingspan well over 7-feet tall, and apparently, there is some upside here. That said, the Raptors fan base and some NBA pundits on Twitter had a field day. Enjoy.
The Toronto #Raptors select Bruno Caboclo from Brazil. Wow. Didn't see that coming. Really thought Napier was going to go there. #NBADraft

I'm just gonna say that the last time the Raptors took a Brazilian it was Rafael Araujo, so this can't be that bad

Or South American. RT @TasMelas: If you're a Raptors fan, seeing grainy footage of a European draft prospect is vomit-inducing. #NBADraft
