Houston Rockets

The Rockets are an ultra-intriguing team to watch as the draft approached, simply because it was clear that a) Houston would move their first round pick, or b) they would draft a player to stash in Europe. Daryl Morey and company chose the “A” option, and they drafted Swiss big man Clint Capela. Some believe that Capela is ready to play in the NBA right now, but he is athletic and raw, and the Rockets need the cap space to make a run at a player like LeBron James or Carmelo Anthony. It is a win-win scenario.

With their second round pick, Houston tabbed former Arizona guard Nick Johnson, who made a disastrous choice to declare early for the NBA Draft. Johnson can likely score at the next level, but it is unclear if he can do anything else, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him on the chopping block, especially until the rest of the roster is finalized.
